China IPO Market, Back To School Budget, New Blog Design!

It’s been a few days but I haven’t had a chance to mention this until now: I hope you like our new design! I picked up a new logo from LogoInn.com and changed our color theme. Hopefully you like the new look as much as I do!

Now as far as this week’s reading material, here’s what I’ve got:

Personal Finance Articles

Mrs. Bankrupt laments those expenses that start piling up when school registration time hits. One Mint: Very interesting! Seems like China is experiencing quite the IPO bubble lately, with a million trading accounts being opened over the last couple of weeks to address the searing hot IPO market. For a lot of investors, it’s all about riding the momentum — which I doubt I’ll ever do.

M Is For Money: Miss M decided to take $5,000 from her savings to apply to her credit card balance. She has finally paid off her credit card debt to get it out of the way. If you’ve got enough savings left for your emergency fund, this is nothing but an excellent move.

Wise Bread: Want to get more wear out of your clothing? Check out these tips from Wise Bread for making your clothes last longer. We offer some similar tips in our post 7 Frugal Tips To Clean and Care For Your Clothes.

Budgets Are Sexy: Here is someone’s very own millionaire to do list: J Money captured his financial goals on a piece of paper and posted it on his blog. Well what do you know: like many of us, he’s planning to be a millionaire one day! I’m sure he’ll make it. I also find it amusing that we have similar handwriting.

  1. I like the look too. Very clean and rather sophisticated. (Oh brother, I just read that back and it sounds like I’m reviewing wine!) lol
