But, for those tax filers using the any e-file software, keep in mind that it is also very important to understand the mechanics of how taxes work because you are ultimately responsible for the tax return.  I always recommend taxpayers to review their tax returns several times over, even if they are using an automated filing program, as the penalty for mistakes is very high.
