I recently read an Entrepreneur article which were along the same lines. I believe the title was "Lost Your Job? Then Start a Business" or something to that effect. Anyhow the tips in that article mixed with yours would definitely be a great starting point for anyone looking to get a business going in these times. It definitely begins with doing your research and knowing how to write a business proposal that will lead to you getting funded by investors.
